Schere, originally uploaded by nerxs.

Scissors. I can remember my grandma sat on scissors which were lying on the sofa. I think she had to go to the doctor. For me scissors are dangerous too. I always injure myself when using them. Last year I had to do some handicrafts for the christmas bazaar in the kindergarden. They wanted me to make little holes into felt to make sewing easier. The educator told me to use a nail and a hammer.

Pfiff. Nail? Hammer? I had no good mind to go downstairs to get the equipment. I knew I could do this with scissors. And I wanted to get this done as soon as possible. So I got my nail scissors and tried to get a hole into the felt. I really tried hard. There has been I hole in it afterwards but … also in my hand. How stupid can someone possible be?

Your scissors are beautifully rendered. I especially like the way that you have done the changing light conditions on the blades of the scissors.

I really like this one, so loose and breezy. Great colors, neat style. Thanks for sharing it, don’t you just love peeking in people’s sketchbooks?

Thanks for your compliments. Yes Robyn, I also like the blades. Evertime I just let go like on the blades, things work out very well. If I concentrate on doing a good joob it looks always false. Faszinating. Nel, yes I love peeking in other people’s sketchbooks. I always did.

What a story – I guess I’ll look at scissors differently now. You’ve done a nice watercolor here, Nik, and you must be one of the very first to get this done!

It’s good you didn’t show blood on the scissors, although it would have been understandable.

    Nice painting!
